Fae’s Radishes

Creating culturally relatable characters for a given story to design and illustrate a children’s storybook. A story script was given to the class in both arabic and English and we were required to choose one language and create the scenes and add text to it.

I started the project by creating relatable characters. I used to read since I was a kid but I never saw myself as the characters in the stories, I didn't relate to it. So for this project I kept thinking “what would 7 year old me would want to see in the story?'“

After figuring out the character, I started to test out different coloring for the character to look at all the possibilities before choosing the final colors
