With every coming generation we are loosing touch with parts of our history. Part of that history is our mythological history, which played a big role in shaping the belief system of our ancestors lives.
The number of people who lived with hearing these stories are getting less, which is leading to the disappearance of parts of the stories or even all of it. By exposing people to these stories we can connect people to parts of our culture and showcase how rich our culture is unlike what they think.
Relevance & Importance
Why a Card Game?
The main thing that inspired me to choose this topic is my grandmother who back then used to gather us kids around and tell us stories of Kuwait mythological characters and it became something the connects us.
Based my research, younger generation grandmothers are not that familiar with the stories, and I wanted to recreate this environment of people gathering to hear the stories. So, this can be achieved in a card game.
In addition, a card game would be the best solution since since it speaks to the audience who are sixteen yea olds and older. They would be more engaged with and while at the same time learn from it.
Inspiration
The main inspiration for this idea is from tarot cards since they have this mythical and mystical feel to them that I think would go well with the aesthetic of the stories.
